Advanced Design of Block Shear Failure

چکیده

This paper presents the behaviour and design procedure of bolted connections which tend to be sensitive block shear failure. The finite element method is employed examine research-oriented (RFEM) model validated with results experimental tests. used verify component-based FEM (CBFEM) model, combines analysis internal forces by plates, bolts welds component (CM). CBFEM verified an analytical solution based on existing formulas. developed for generally loaded complicated joints, where distribution complex. resistance steel plates controlled limiting plastic strain strength connectors, e.g., welds, anchor bolts. at a post-critical stage available allow local buckling slender plates. prediction initial stiffness deformation capacity included natively. Finally, sensitivity study prepared. studied parameters include gusset plate thickness pitch distance.
